Weekly Mani: Black Tie and Flowers

Hi Everyone,

This week’s mani is a little early because my days off have changed at work so posts will now be Monday’s or Tuesdays this month. This week I have used my new favorite black cream, LeChat Black Velvet. This is a fabulous black, almost opaque in one coat, formula is fantastic and very easy to work with and zero shrink back. Flower stamp is from Mundo De Unas plate and I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Red-io Active. Added red crystal and 1.5mm metal studs to form the bow tie.

OH MY GAWD I’ve been looking for you everywhere.

Ok, that sounded all kinds of creepy. But for realz I first saw your nails on your Chickettes guest post and literally google image searched the pics of your nails so I could follow your blog/Instagram/Pinterest/whatever, but I JUST found you via Manic Talons, so YAY!!!

That post totally inspired me to start using nail charms and to reconsider stamping. I love all your nails and am fangirling right now! I pretty much exclusively use Gelish and I’m kinda shocked that I’ve just found yours and Manic Talons blogs — I’ve been like, where’s all the gel polish love??

    Gorgeous work!!

Hi Ann….I love your enthusiasm! Thank you for finding me, I just started the blog last month so that’s probably why you couldn’t find any of my stuff until now. I’m happy to hear I inspired you to use deco pieces and stamping :D. I’d love to see what you’ve come up with. If you have any questions or suggestions to hesitate to ask :).

I’m so excited that you started this blog!! I can’t wait to see more. I really, really love your use of color, stamping, and studs – it’s so elegant! As for me, I think I’m still trying to find my “thing”. I was all about studs this summer, but over the past month or so I’ve been playing around with hand-painted designs (I’m determined to master painting nail art with gel polish). But now that I’ve seen the MoYou London plates I’m dying to get some and start stamping!

Anyway, can’t wait for your next mani! 😀

I checked out your blog and you’re doing a terrific job with the gel nail art. I hope you do give stamping another try, it’s so fun and much more forgiving working on gel polish as you can remove the stamp if it’s not perfect with non-acetone and re-stamp. I just got some more MoYou plates and I just happened to re-do my mani last night with one of their images this week. I look forward to seeing more of you work. :)
