Gel II Royalty with Stamped Center Stripe

Hi all,

This was one of those mani’s that I couldn’t decide if I really liked it. I ended up only wearing it for a day before soaking off to do my current french mani. I can’t really say why this one isn’t a favorite, it’s probably because I had the elaborate crystal design in my head I wanted to do for the video I just posted and just wanted to get it out of my head and onto my nails. I really do like the blues in this one, The darker is Gel II Royalty and the lighter is a franken of 1 drop Royalty and 4 drops TruGel Marshmallow. I painted the lighter blue first and carved out a center stripe for the barker blue. I then stamped with Essie’s No Place Like Chrome and lined the stripe with a silver glitter striper. I did a simple silver stud design on the accent finger. Let me know what you think!

I really like these designs, especially the studded nail. I am very new to nail design and am having the hardest time finding little beads and studs that you showcase in some of your pics/vids. Can you give me a link(s) of where I can get a variety of these studs/hearts/flat back crystals? Thanks so much.

Thank you very much! I made a handy list of links of where you can buy the studs and various other nail art stuff. Just click on the Nail Art Resources at the top of the page.

What stamp did you use? What do you mean by a Franken of 1 drop 4 drops marshmallow?

Hi Stacy, I used a Dashica stamp from the new Infinity collection, plate # 32. Click on my Stamping Plate Inventory list at the top of the page and you can see images of those plates.

Franken means taking 2 or more polishes and mixing them together for a new shade. In this case I used 1 drop of Gel II Royalty (darker blue) and 4 drops of TruGel Marshmallow (white) to make the light blue color on the sides of the nail.

I like it, but I can understand the drive to have a french manicure. I have that feeling all the time.

Thanks! Yeah, I had not done a french in ages so I got it out of my system :D.

I think it’s gorgeous! I love the framed stamp right down the center of the nail. LOVE that Essie color, as well *_*

    This is lovely Kim.

Could you possibly do a video on how you carve the colour out and how you stamp just a section of the nail.

I would be happy to Tracey!
