Weekly Mani: iGel Pure White with Stamp

Hi dear readers,

Another white mani you say, why yes, I’m kinda in love with white polish at the moment. This mani is actually a result of a fail with some water decals from Kiss. I found 3 really cool designs at my local grocery store and thought they would look great over white but I really did not like them on my shorties. So those get put aside and I’ll revisit them when my nails are longer.

First, about the polish. This is iGel Pure White that I picked up at my local nail supply place for $6.00. It’s opaque in 2 coats and applied very nicely with no shrink back or wrinkling. The only thing I didn’t like was when I removed the sticky layer to stamp it left a milky residue behind that took extra swipes with the alcohol to clear away. I know that some gel polishes can leave a bit of uncured color in the inhibition layer, some more than others, but this seemed excessive. None of the other whites I have do this. If I have any problems with wear I will update here. When I went looking for a link to provide you for purchase I found that they supply to salons and other pros and don’t seem to have any US distributors at the moment. They do have a Facebook page and a website.

I wanted to keep it simple again so I chose small image from Mundo de Unas plate #16 and I stamped with the ever reliable Sally Hansen Insta Dri Gone Grey. I wanted a lot of the white to show so I only used about half the image. The accent nail is a simple design using silver studs and silver diamond shape.
