Weekly Mani: ReformA Maldives with White Relief Accent Nails

Hello readers,

I got some new gel polishes by ReformA this past week and I just had to try out this gorgeous neon light purple and I wanted to try this relief technique that reminds me of porcelain.

Maldives is from ReformA’s Neon collection, it has a fantastic formula and is very pigmented, it applied like butter with no shrink back and was almost opaque in one coat. 2 coats gives a richer look. So far, I am very impressed with this polish but I will have to see how it wears and soaks off before giving it a thumbs up.

For the accent nails I used my favorite canvas, IBD Whipped Cream. For the relief look, I applied Mosaic Snow White gel paint in several layers with a small art brush, curing each layer. I topped it with 1 coat of  China Glaze Gelaze topcoat being sure to apply it VERY thin to retain the 3D look.

Products used:

Base Color: ReformA Maldives and IBD Whipped Cream
Gel Paint: Mosaic Snow White
Top Coat: China Glaze Gelaze top

Can’t wait see what you think of the wear and soak off. Very pretty and rich color.

Really pretty! I know our favorites change over time as we try new things. Could you tell me your very favorite top coat and favorite white? Thanks.

      Thank you,

My fave white right now is IBD Whipped Cream, great coverage in 2 coats, bright white…and my fave top coat is still Kiss but I’ve have to look for an alternative since it’s been discontinued. I got some China Glaze Gelaze top coat and it’s really nice. It’s on the thick side but easy to work with no pooling, skipping or pitting. I’ve worn it on my last 3 manis and it wears great and stays super shiny.
