Weekly mani: Halloween themed nail art

Hi dear readers,

As you may know, I don’t usually do literal holiday themed nails but I wanted to try my hand doing a hand drawn spider.

I decided not to do the typical yellow, black and white halloween colors, instead I chose a gorgeous red cream, LeChat Sealed with a Kiss. I then stamped with a web image from Chez Delaney Halloween plate 001 with Konad Black.

For the accent nail, I used Shellac Black Pool and my Ultra Mini 12/0 detail brush to draw the spider, making the main body part a hollow circle and cured. I then placed a good-sized drop of LeChat On the Red Carpet, a beautiful sparkly red glitter gel, in the center of the circle to give the body a 3D look and two small dots for the eyes and cured. Topped with 1 coat of topcoat and all done!

Products used:

Base color: LeChat Sealed With A Kiss)and LeChat On the Red Carpet
Spider color: Shellac Black Pool
Stamp: Chez Delaney Halloween plate 001
Stamping polish: Konad Black

I hope this inspires you try your own spider design. I would love to see your creations!

This looks awesome. I would have never guessed you drew that spider free-hand. I thought it was a stamp! I love the 3D details!

Thanks Stella…the spider was really easy, easier than some of the other stuff I’ve done, lol. I’ll probably do a video in the next few days.
